How long have you been with MMQCI and how did you first learn about our company?
6 ½ years. I first learned about the company when I applied for the position.  It was a very different field for me but I have enjoyed learning about it.

What are your primary responsibilities?
Payroll, HR, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting

Describe MMQCI in three words:
Effective, Efficient and Collaborative

What do you like best about MMQCI?
The people – it’s a great place to work

How would you describe your team?  
Small and efficient. We work well together and are always ready to cover for each other.

What are some of the biggest changes you’ve seen since joining MMQCI?  
The growth – when I started 6 ½ years ago we had 26 employees. Now we are over 70. It’s been exciting to be a part of it. 

What has your experience been with our company culture? 
I love the culture here. Departments work together and everyone is ready to help in any way.

What do you like to do in your free time?
Spending time with my kids and grandkids, kayaking and enjoying the outdoors.

What’s the most unique part about working at MMQCI? 
It’s a small company that makes a big difference.

Where is your happy place in Maine?
Two Lights State Park – I love sitting and watching the waves crashing on the rocks.

What’s your secret talent that most people don’t know about?
I love to quilt and can’t wait to retire so I have more time to do it.

In terms of successes, which accomplishments are you most proud of?  
Definitely my kids. Watching them have both professional and personal successes. Especially watching them raise their kids with the same values they were raised with.

What’s one thing that’s on your “Bucket List”?
Visiting Hawaii   

What piece of advice would you give to your younger self? 
Have more kids 😊

What do you enjoy most about working here? 
Definitely the people I work with and the collaborative atmosphere.     

Where were you born and raised? 
Van Buren, ME – a very small town in northern Maine on the Canadian border – “The County” will always be home to me. 

Who are some of your biggest inspirations, and why? 
My Mom and Dad. They raised 10 kids and taught us about hard work, helping others and strong family values. All traits that I have instilled in my kids and see them sharing with their kids.

What’s one thing that surprised you about your current role?
I’ve been surprised by the growth of the company since I started. It’s been fun to be a part of it.

What’s the last song you listened to?

How have you grown professionally since you’ve joined the MMQCI team?
Being part of the bio-tech industry and working with a team that is making a difference in the health industry. It’s been very rewarding. 

What, if anything, are you currently binge-watching? Or reading?
Reading “The Woman in Me” by Brittney Spears and binge watching “Castle”.

What is something about you that most people don’t know?
I am a twin and we are the youngest of a family of 10 kids.
