PAULA PINETTE

Customer Service/QA/RA,
Both Customer Service and Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs departments

Paula Pinette

How long have you been with MMQCI and how did you first learn about our company?
I celebrated my 18-year anniversary in November of 2022.  I have known Joan Gordon and Clark Rundell, our company co-founders, since before they started MMQCI.  I had heard through the grapevine that they had started a company.  When I was looking for a new job, I reached out to Joan.  The rest is literally history.

What are your primary responsibilities?
It’s a small, but rapidly growing company, so we wear a lot of hats.

My customer service responsibilities mostly revolve around corporate accounts - maintaining those relationships and shepherding their orders from receipt to delivery. I also attend industry conferences and represent the company in our company’s exposition booth.

My QA/RA responsibilities include initiating change orders for creation and/or revision of procedures and labeling.  I also participate in the MMQCI audit program, both as an internal auditor and participating during external customer and regulatory audits.

Describe MMQCI in three words:
Growing!
Challenging!
Welcoming!

What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?
Relax, it all works out.

Where were you born and raised?
I was born and raised in Fort Kent, ME.  It’s a very small town in northern Maine, nestled in the Saint John Valley along the New Brunswick Canadian border.  Most people there are fluent in both French Canadian and English, a.k.a. Franglais.  Conversations go back and forth between French and English.  It can be a bit surprising and frustrating for newcomers.

What is the last song you listed to?
“Lemon Tree”, by Post Malone.

What is something about you that most people don’t know?
I’m a dual citizen, Canadian and American.
