MOLLY KEPHART
Quality Control Technician II, QC
How long have you been with MMQCI and how did you first learn about our company?
I’ve been with MMQCI for a little over a year and a half now! I first found out about the company while job hunting, and I loved the idea of working for a small company in Maine that aligned with my interests!
What are your primary responsibilities?
My primary responsibilities include performing the QC work for all the products that leave our doors! I make sure that all of our controls are performing to the highest caliber and are falling within our QC guidelines.
What do you like best about MMQCI?
I really love the company culture here; everyone I work with is so kind and eager to help!
How would you describe your team?
Our team is small in QC, but we are constantly interacting and working side by side with the other departments, which is very rewarding! I would say our team is very communicative and hardworking, while also being flexible and fun!
What are some of the biggest changes you’ve seen since joining MMQCI?
We recently added an upstairs addition to our building, and the office space is gorgeous! The company continues to grow in headcount as well; it’s really cool to see that happen in real time.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love hiking (when the weather permits), I am currently working on hiking all 48 4,000-footers in NH! I’m also big on doing yoga and attending trivia nights with my friends.
Where is your happy place in Maine?
York, Maine is one of my favorite spots to visit- there are a lot of nostalgic memories there! I also love finding all the hidden beach coves along the coast to visit and relax at.
What’s one thing that’s on your “Bucket List”?
I’m a big foodie- I would love to travel and eat at different Michelin star restaurants around the globe!
What do you enjoy most about working here?
I really enjoy working and getting to know all my coworkers- everyone here is so friendly! I also love that I get an equal amount of lab work and analytical desk work. I really enjoy working hands-on with the assays and then getting to analyze the results afterwards!
Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Concord, NH and grew up all around the seacoast — I currently live on the seacoast of NH.
Who are some of your biggest inspirations, and why?
My biggest inspirations are my mentors I had early on in my college career; they really helped guide and shape me into the scientist I am today.
What, if anything, are you currently binge-watching? Or reading?
I have a couple books going right now- on audiobook, I am re-listening to The Fellowship of the Ring. I’m physically reading Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky
What is something about you that most people don’t know?
If you can’t tell from my reading choices, I’m a big science fiction/fantasy fan!
